A Tuscan story centered on wine,
in the Conca d’oro of Panzano in Chianti
This is the story of a farming family, following them from their status as tithe farmers to the acquisition of their own land. It’s a story of sacrifice and difficulties but also of the humble joy and simple pleasure that are so difficult to find today.
It’s a story of a beautiful place in the Conca d’oro close to Panzano in Chianti, where the Anichini family have transformed their lives and where their youngest son Francesco took the reins of their Vallone di Cecione farm in the early 2000s to guide it to success.
Wine is a protagonist here. Once seen as nothing more than simple table fare, now transformed to a product of the highest quality without losing its rustic and earthy nature. Other protagonists are the encounters, the affections and the friendships whose roots are in the family’s home and among the vines, with people who have changed the course of things and thanks to whom these pages are full of positivity.
It finishes with an epilogue which more than an epilogue is a dream that, without pretension, hopes for the dawning of a bright tomorrow.
